The 1952 'Q Stak' chair fulfilled a brief to provide seating with fewer components at a reduced cost for post war domestic enviroments. Originally designed by Robin Day with only seven main components, Loft International and Robin Day have now redesigned the Q Stak with five components and modified the back to provide further support and 'freedom from fatigue' as Robin intended. Also as the technology was unavailable in the 50's to conceal the fixings, as Robin desired, Loft International have now remedied that problem. The Q Stak chair was re-launched in January 2004 and is now available in three finishes, White, Beech and Walnut veneer.
